I tried this restaurant for the first time last night.
The service was quick to great and seat me. The atmosphere is dimly lighted. At one point they played what sounded like a contest with music.
I ordered the Vegetable Burrito. I upgraded to have shrimp with it.
There was some spinach in it, but less vegetables filling than I would of liked. It tasted good. Slightly salty.
I would try something else if I return. The Texas rice sounded good.
Convenient to Kroger's. Easy parking. Clean atmosphere. -

Friendly service with a smile. At noon in a Saturday, not very busy so our food came to us in about 5 minutes. Our waitress stated they make their own food and avoid using lard, which is a huge bonus! I took advantage of the 2 for 1 margaritas. Can't beat the rice. The bean burrito was delicious and the red sauce on top is smoky and a little spicy. A pleasant surprise anytime you can get delicious Mexican food. I'll be back.

2 stars for Friendly and attentive staff. No complaints on the service but the food's very bland and under seasoned. Portion controlled sizes- not large portions, not a problem for me but a heads up. No pics as nothing was worth mentioning. We ordered guacamole, chicken & beef tacos, steak & shrimp fajitas (steak tough), chalupa, enchiladas, beef burrito w/ beans and rice... again nothing worth the mention. We won't be back.

Came here on a Friday night. Salsa had great flavor with decent chips. The margaritas however were so weak I felt they didn't even put tequila in them and we never really drink. I got the flautas which were over cooked and the beans looked like they came out of a can. My husband got the chicken salsa verde enchiladas. He hated them said the green sauce was sour. And the white cheese dip was way too runny. Didn't even stick on the chips. Won't be going back. Our server was polite and stayed on top of things. It was super empty though.

5 Stars!!! If you're using the MAPS app to find a good Mexican restaurant near you - GO HERE, to El Maraiachi. We are from North Carolina, were on the road, driving down I-95 on our way to a Florida vacation, it was nighttime and we were starving. Using the Maps app, we were directed to 3 other Mexican restaurants in the area two with 4 stars and one with 5 stars, (all of which were terribly misleading!!!!) For one of them, we were directed to go to a shady looking trailer park. (No) For another, we were directed to a real dive next to what looked like a biker bar (No) For the last, we were directed to go to a dark, dirty-looking carry-out only counter service that had 5 stars. (No!!)
THIS PLACE, Mariachi had 2 stars but we went to check it out anyway! Were we glad we did!!!
El Mariachi is in a strip mall beside a Kroger grocery store and looks upscale, clean and safe. Once inside, we found it to be a large, clean, family restaurant with a good atmosphere, friendly, attentive employees, excellent food, (many signature dishes) and good prices (I can recommend the "Texas Rice" which was chicken, steak and shrimp, stir fried with caramelized onions & peppers over a bed of Mexican rice that had light melted cheese drizzled over it!!!)
Ignore what your Maps application and the "star" reviews say!!!! You will be GLAD you gave this sweet little restaurant a try!!
